I appreciated Jack for the many qualities he had, including his calmness and intelligence. In particular, I marveled at the time he spent putting together the family tree. Jack clearly loved his family and wanted us all to appreciate how we blended together to make this family.

I imagine that once introductions are completed in heaven, God will have Jack tackle a much bigger project- the family trees of heaven and all the bookkeeping that goes with it!

We have lost a friend. The hand of death has move the soul of Jack Garry to his resting place. Jack was a very pleasant and soft spoken person. He would always take the time to listen to ones needs. He would also exercise his strength and power to help the needs of struggling people. I must say he did not use his strength foolishly. He would always direct you in a very realist manner. Our Hearts are saddened, but we truly know it is safe to say that his soul at rest.

We humbly submit to the will of God because he knows best. God giveth life and he taketh it away.

Be it resolved that we will always cherish the example set by the life and that we will strive to make ourselves a beautiful monuments as the life of Jack Garry.

We loved Jack and we also understand that God loved him best

At this time we would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to the Garry family

Respectfully Submitted:

I worked with Jack at the PwC office in NJ. He was a great boss. Jack was a kind and soft-spoken gentleman. I will certainly miss him. May he rest in peace.

Although we've only known Jack for about three years, we quickly learned that he's one of those people who makes everyone else's life a little friendlier. He always had a smile on his face and a kind "hello" for our whole neighborhood. Our children could rely on him for an engaged audience, genuinely interested and amused at their toddler ramblings. When Sam and Lily were born, he designed a beautiful card for each of them, welcoming them into the world. Jack will be missed for his thoughtful emails and for his curiosity and persistence in improving the lovely backyard. It's strange, already, not to catch him out the window, reading outside in the morning sun.

Our thoughts and prayers for peace are with you, Kathy, as for everyone in the family you and Jack shared, at this heart-wrenching time of grief.

Kathy & Family:

We were very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. Our prayers are with you. We've known Jack since 1988 when Jack hired Mike at C&L. We worked closely together for the next 7 years as Mike followed Jack's lead in building the Internal Audit Services practice at C&L. From 2000 to 2003, Mike again had the privilege of working with Jack in Jersey City.

Jack was a Prince. He had an outstanding balance of professionalism in his craft and work, love of family and life, a quiet and great sense of humor, and passion for Iona basketball-wrapped in a package of a Man with the highest degree of integrity. Being around Jack was a life lesson. Since his retirement in 2007, Jack was great at keeping in touch-whether it was family or basketball news or just funny quips and emails. Jack always made the people around him feel good.

We will miss Jack deeply but his memory, the events we shared and life lessons will live on for us.

Sincerely,
Mike and Robin Ford

I want to express my deepest sympathy to Jack’s family on their loss.

I was lucky enough to have known Jack for 17 years and to have worked with him for four of those years. I will miss Jack for his friendship, guidance, and sense of humor.

Jack always was a gentleman and set a wonderful example for all of us to follow. He was loved by all his friends.

Jack, I want to say, “thank you for everything.”

I got to know a little of John through IOnahoops.com, although I never met him in person. I enjoyed his humor, and appreciated the values he brought to the Board.

My sympathies to all in his family, and we will miss him. God bless to all!
